This week's Riff features the intro section from the song "Come As You Are" as played by the influential grunge band Nirvana. This is a pretty simple riff that is played in the open poisition and uses notes from the Low E string and the A string. There are two things to watch for in this riff, which are the string changes that happen with the picking hand as well as the rhythm and timing of the riff. The rhythm and picking make up a big part of the sound of this riff, so really focus on playing in time as you practice each part. Remember that you can SLOW DOWN the video and LOOP IT until you can get the fretting hand and picking hand to work together, and then gradually build it up to full speed.
