"Take Me Out" - Franz Ferdinand

Hello Fretlight Players - here is this week's FREE "Fretlight Video Riff"!

This week's Video Riff features the main chorus section from "Take Me Out" as played by Franz Ferdinand. This riff is based on the notes of the E Minor Scale and is played at the 7th position. An important part of nailing the sound of this riff is getting the correct rhythm. This means that you should pay close attention to your picking hand as well as your fretting hand to make sure they are working together. Even though all of the fretted notes in this riff are played in a single position, your main focus with this riff is getting the timing down. Remember that you can SLOW DOWN the video and LOOP IT until you can get the riff up to full speed.
